The Hole In The Ground

Another A24 horror movie, cool. I heard some pretty good things from its premiere at Sundance, so I’m definitely curious to see what this is all about. Creepy kids can be a super effective means to get under your skin, and this trailer gave me a number of chilling moments. I’m very on board for this.

The Hole In The Ground opens in theaters on March 1st.

A Vigilante

I think this looks really cool. Olivia Wilde starring in a gritty crime drama where she beats up some bad dudes – sounds exactly like my kind of movie. There’s things here that I’ve certainly seen before, but it’s all in the execution – pun intended. It seems assured enough, and it looks like Wilde is giving it her all. This has definitely caught my attention.

A Vigilante will open in theaters on March 29th.

The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind

Man, I feel like it’s been a hot second since we’ve seen Chiwetel Ejiofor, but to see him now make his directorial debut, it’s really exciting. It’s certainly advertised a bit like a generic feel-good, fact-based drama, but if it works, it works, and from the looks of it, it seems to be helmed in a very assured way. Can’t wait to see how this turns out.

The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind will hit Netflix on March 1st.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile

Look, I can acknowledge that my taste can be pretty questionable at times. I’m pretty open about enjoying movies that can be described as morally dubious at best. But even with that said, I just can’t vibe with the tone of this trailer at all. That frenetic, irreverent style can totally translate to some crime stories, but for a serial killer, in this fashion…it just feels so off. Maybe it’s the trailer being terribly misleading, but if this is the approach, they better tread carefully because it’ll either be great or it will just be, well…extremely wicked, shockingly evil, and vile. Man, that title is a mouthful..

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile doesn’t have a release date announced yet.

The Biggest Little Farm

This looks cute. I’m all for a good nature documentary, and it’s not often that we get one that also considers the human element alongside nature. It’ll be neat to see how this farm comes to be, and how the couple deals with the struggles with handling something of this scale. It looks very interesting, and I mean, did you see those piggies?

The Biggest Little Farm will be released on April 5th.

Apollo 11

I talked about the teaser a while back, and my thoughts are still the same. I’m totally sold on this. I’ve always been a huge space nut, and the footage here looks incredible. Don’t know if there’s any more new things to learn about it, but it’s still something that is worth celebrating and looking back on. I’m excited for this.

Apollo 11 will be released in theaters on March 1st.
