No Time To Die
This looks really cool. Bond is something I don’t typically get excited about, but the action here looks absolutely killer. Honestly, there’s lots to be excited about here. Cary Fukanaga directing, Lashana Lynch’s 00 agent character, Ana de Armas kicking ass in a glamorous dress, what’s not to like? I’m sure I’ve already talked about this film in a previous Trailer Talk before this got pushed back, so I’m gonna keep this brief. It looks good, but too bad it’s only coming to theaters. Highly doubt things in the US will be that different come November.
No Time To Die will hit theaters on November 20th.
Spontaneous
I’m intrigued, but the trailer feels like it’s trying way too hard. It’s almost too irreverent for its own good. Could just be the trailer. Maybe the film isn’t as over-the-top. Seems like a solid collection of young actors. Even though I didn’t care much for 13 Reasons Why, I thought Katherine Langford was quite good in it, and I haven’t seen her do something this wacky before. So, that will at least be interesting.

Come Play
This honestly doesn’t look super great, but it has a neat gimmick behind it, and I really like Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr., they’re both terrific actors, too good for material like this, but they might just make it palatable. It’s based on a short from the director, so I might check that out. This is another one that’s sticking to its theatrical date, which is a bummer, but I might give this a look when it hits digital.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen
Did enough people like the first Babysitter film to warrant Netflix greenlighting a sequel? News to me. I wasn’t a fan. Though, I can see how some might find it entertaining. I do like the idea of following the same character, played by the same actor, and addressing how he handled the trauma as he got older. But I’m still not that interested. If you enjoyed the first one, I hope this satisfies you.
The Babysitter: Killer Queen will be available on Netflix on September 10th.
Shithouse
Well, props to keeping the title, usually, the powers that be would make you change it to something else. The movie itself looks fine. It also looks like a million other movies I’ve seen. It’s not really showing me a different angle on these kind of aimless college set coming-of-age movies. I’m sure it will be fine, nothing about it looks outwardly bad or anything, just kind of generic. But I would like to be proven wrong.
Shithouse opens in select theaters and VOD platforms on October 16th.
