I dig it! This looks like a ton of fun, the action looks great, and Robbie looks like she’s having the time of her life. I kinda wish we can get a look at some of the supporting players, but I also understand those characters are nowhere near as popular as Harley Quinn. Still, I’m very excited for this. Hope it’s good.
Birds Of Prey hits theaters on February 7th, 2020.
God, I wish this was still called “Toff Guys.” That aside, this looks amazing. When I first heard about this, it seemed like Guy Ritchie going back into classic Guy Ritchie territory, and boy, does it look like a total blast. You got Hugh Grant going full character actor, Henry Golding being some kind of maniacal gangster, Colin Farrell looks like he’s having a ton of fun, everything about this is making me happy. It’s been actually not that long since I last loved a Guy Ritchie movie, I enjoyed The Man From U.N.C.L.E. immensely, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to see him make another scrappy gangster flick, especially after Aladdin.
The Gentlemen will open in theaters on January 24th, 2020.
Whether good or bad, Michael Bay’s movies are an event, which makes it all the more surreal to see him turn to Netflix for his new film. This looks pretty good, so much so that I’m not as hesitant as I was before, knowing that the Deadpool writers were behind this. The action looks killer, and it’s got Bay’s signature style. I can’t wait to see what he has in store.
6 Underground will be available on Netflix on December 13th.
That Clint Eastwood sure knows how to work fast. This is a solid trailer, I know most of the basic details about this case, and I also know that a lot of this drama got sorted out in a couple months, which – in retrospect – doesn’t seem like it’s that bad. But still it’s cool seeing Paul Walter Hauser take the lead in something like this. I feel like Eastwood’s sensibilities will lean really hard on certain elements, like the moments with the eeeeeevil press, so I’m not sure how that will pan out, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious.
Richard Jewell will open in theaters on December 13th.
At first I wasn’t all that interested, but it kinda sold be by the end of it. The premise is pretty intriguing, and I can’t say I’ve seen something quite like it, at least recently. Apparently, this was originally a Paramount release, but Netflix bought the distribution rights because Paramount “didn’t know how to market it,” and I guess I can see why. This is from the director of Sinister 2, which I wasn’t fond of, but I’m hoping this is as interesting as it looks.
Eli hits Netflix on October 18th.
