All Day And A Night

They sure showed a lot of the movie in here, at least that’s what it seemed like. But what I see here does look pretty interesting. I mean, just look at the cast – Ashton Sanders, Jeffrey Wright, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Regina Taylor. That is what I call quality, and it’s worth noting this is written and directed by Joe Robert Cole, co-writer of Black Panther, and one of the writers on The People vs. O.J. Simpson, which was also very good. This doesn’t seem like it will break any new ground, but at least, given the talent involved, I can expect a lot of nuance and skill from everyone involved, so this is something I’m curious about.

All Day And A Night hits Netflix on May 1st.

The Wrong Missy

Well…I guess it’s nice to see David Spade still doing his thing. But this does not look like my cup of tea. Lauren Lapkus looks like she’s having a blast, so that’s cool. This just does not appeal to me at all. The whole Happy Madison brand of humor never really did it for me, even when I was young, so it’s sure as hell not gonna do much for me now. If there’s an audience for this, I hope they dig it, that’s just not me though.

The Wrong Missy will be released on Netflix on May 13th.

The Lovebirds

Looks like Netflix took this out of Paramount’s hands, which isn’t all that surprising. Also find it kinda amusing that Netflix didn’t feel the need to make their own trailer because this is literally the exact same trailer Paramount has been showing. I don’t have much to say, it looks fine, I guess. There’s just not a lot of trailers this week.

The Lovebirds will be available on Netflix on May 22nd.

Debt Collectors

So, a lot of you probably haven’t seen The Debt Collector, but you should, it’s a pretty kick-ass little action flick from a couple years back. I dig Scott Adkins, I think he’s a force of nature in these action movies, and it looks like everyone in front of and behind the camera is back, which is awesome, even if it looks like they ignored the implied deaths of the two lead characters from the first one. I love how they basically shrugged it off in the trailer. Anyway, check out The Debt Collector, it is still available on Netflix the last I checked.

Debt Collectors will be available on home video and VOD platforms on May 29th.

Thoughts on any of the trailers? Feel free to discuss in the comments!

A quick note: I am grateful to everyone who comes over, and reads my stuff. I hope it provides some kind of distraction from all the things that are happening out there because of the COVID-19 situation. Having said that, my usual source of income is gone because of the pandemic, so while I am thankfully in a slightly better position than most, any contribution to my PayPal (which you can do so here) would be greatly appreciated. If you have any ideas for incentives for people who donate, I’m all ears, feel free to get in touch. Obviously, you don’t have to if you don’t want to, only give if you are able, and of course prioritize the ones in need around you. Stay safe, and thanks to anyone who donates!
