Welcome!
I’m Herman Dhaliwal, and as some of you might know, I was the critic for A.V. Wire for several years. However, at a certain point, I felt like I needed more space to do things in my own way, and set my own path.
Which brings us to the new site…Cinema Sanctum!
Cinema Sanctum – which is run and operated by yours truly – will be a place where you will find my film (and maybe some TV) reviews, my thoughts on developing industry news that I find interesting, and whatever else might pop up in my mind in the future. I am planning on posting more often than I did before, no schedule set in stone, but if things go smoothly, there will be plenty of new articles to read each week.
And as a way to set this place apart from others, I will be keeping negativity to a bare minimum, using it only when I feel it’s necessary and can provide some sort of learning experience. So, angry rants, pointless nitpicks, gleeful takedowns of bad movies, and various other toxic elements in modern film discourse, will not be found here.
I also want to give a huge thanks and shout-out to my friend, Seth Malvin (his website, and Twitter), who gave me my first opportunity to write several years ago, and was very supportive in me getting this new place up and running.
Anyway, I am excited to see where this goes, and I hope you will stick with us.
