Trailer Talk: Uncut Gems, Wounds, and more!

Uncut Gems

I adored Good Time, it was easily one of my favorite films of the year it came out, so I’ve been highly anticipating this one since it was announced. This trailer didn’t disappoint one bit, it looks like the Safdie’s did it again. It looks great, it sounds great, Sandler seems to kill it. I couldn’t be more excited if I tried.

Uncut Gems hits theaters on December 13th.

Wounds

If you haven’t seen Under The Shadow, check it out as soon as you can (it’s on Netflix), it’s fantastic, and the filmmaker behind that, Babak Anvari, is a huge talent. I’ve been looking forward to whatever he does next. Though, I have heard a somewhat middling word-of-mouth from Sundance, where this premiered, but I’m still very curious about it.

Wounds will be available on Hulu on October 18th.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

Really impressed by this trailer, and even more by some of its cinematography, which I think shouldn’t be that surprising since the show was pretty visually ambitious at times. I might try seeking this one out in theaters. I like the vibe of this trailer, and I find myself more interested in seeing where this character goes after we last saw him in the show. I have faith that Vince Gilligan has something up his sleeve for this one.

El Camino will hit select theaters and Netflix on October 11th.

Frozen 2

Significantly more plot than the previous trailers have shown, and I still don’t fully get what the premise is, but that’s fine because it still looks pretty cool, and I’m confident that the team behind this have something interesting here. All I know for sure is that this will make an absurd amount of money.

Frozen 2 will open in theaters on November 22nd.

The Irishman

I’m sure I said something similar with the initial teaser, but I don’t need to be sold on this. I’m a huge Scorsese fan, and this is something that I’ve been hoping to see him tackle for a while. It looks great, the cast is great, the de-aging looks fine enough from the bits we see here. I can’t wait to see it, and I’m hoping to catch it in theaters when it’s out.

The Irishman will open in select theaters on November 1st before hitting Netflix on November 27th.
