Lights Out
OK, this looks fun. In that kinda trashy DTV action movie kinda way, which is totally my jam. I like Grillo, I like Adkins, hell most of this cast is really solid. The action looks good too. Not a whole lot to say here, or really for most of these trailers as you’ll see in a bit, but I’m definitely curious about this.
Lights Out hits select theaters and VOD platforms on February 16th.
One More Shot
This is a sequel to One Shot, which I thought was a pretty good time. This is from the same team and everything, and it looks like they’re going for the same gimmick, which makes sense. I’m into it. Obviously Adkins a very reliable lead, plus you got Michael Jai White thrown into the mix. Of course I’m in, can’t wait.
One More Shot hits VOD platforms on January 16th.
Skin Deep
I really dig this premise. I feel like I’ve seen quite a few stories recently that try to find different way to explore the nature of love and relationships, and this one seems to be the most unique, even if it borrows from the body swap formula. I haven’t seen anything from Alex Schaad, so I don’t know what to expect, but I think this trailer shows a lot of promise, and if the film is anywhere near as effective as this, we might have something special.
Skin Deep opens in select theaters on February 2nd before expanding in the following weeks.
3 Body Problem
I know the Game Of Thrones guys lost a ton of goodwill from folks due to their handling of the final season of of that show, or even the past few seasons if you’re more unforgiving, but this looks pretty cool to me. I like me some heady sci-fi, and this looks weird and complex and interesting. I haven’t read the book, I know it’s quite popular, but given that all the books in this series has been released, I don’t think there’s gonna be the same kind of issues that they faced during Game Of Thrones. So, I’m willing to give this a shot.
3 Body Problem premieres on Netflix starting March 21st.
Tokyo Vice
I really enjoyed the first season of Tokyo Vice, and I’m glad they’re keeping it going cause it didn’t seem like it made much of a splash. I am very much looking forward to the new season, I can’t wait to see where it goes after the place we left off. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a look.
Tokyo Vice premieres on Max starting February 8th.
