SDCC Trailer Talk: Iron Fist Season 2

You know Marvel is packing things a little this year at the San Diego Comic-Con, when their biggest revelation was a tease for the second season of Iron Fist. Here ya go:

So, not a lot to go on, but at least it looks like there is some actual fight choreography this time around!

Here’s the plot synopsis for the new season:

“Season 2 furthers the transformation of Danny, a character with a fish out of water coming of age story making his way in a harsh new world, battling to work out who he is. This season, Danny has promised that with Matt Murdock gone, he will step up and protect his city. But a sinister plot twist threatens his very identity and he must conquers his villains to protect the town and people he holds close to his heart.”

This definitely sounds interesting. I, like many people, did not like the first season of Iron Fist at all. I would rank it among the worst thing that modern Marvel has done. But I’m still open to the possibility of a good Iron Fist show, and I did find the character far more likeable in his brief appearance in the second season of Luke Cage. Hopefully they figured things out this time around.

The second season of Iron Fist will begin streaming on Netflix September 7th.
