The word on the new Halloween, from the unlikely team up of David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, is really good! I can hardly contain my excitement. And a huge part of my anticipation is hearing a fresh new score from John Carpenter, who has in the past couple years released previously unused tracks in his two Lost Themes albums.
Anyway, while we still got about a month before we can finally see the new film, we are lucky enough to get a taste of John Carpenter’s score. A track entitled, “The Shape Returns,” has been officially released. Take a listen:
How great does it sound to hear that again? So simple, yet so effective. I can’t imagine a Halloween film without it, and I can’t wait to hear it in its full glory once the film comes out.
