Horror Anthology Series From Guillermo Del Toro Coming To Netflix

Some exciting news for fans of Guillermo del Toro, according to Variety, the maestro is creating a horror anthology series for Netflix, which will be titled, 10 After Midnight. Some episodes will be written and directed by GDT, but he will also pick a team of filmmakers and writers to handle the other stories.

As a fan of his work, this is really cool to see happening. Ever since winning the various Oscars for The Shape of Water, it seems like all the stuff he wants to do is finally starting to happen, after years and years of various projects falling out of his hands or just not getting the support necessary to get made. Things are starting to come around, and I’m pumped to see what comes of it.

With Trollhunters, Guillermo del Toro already has some clout with the folks at Netflix, so I’m hoping they are willing to throw a lot of money his way to make this series as great as it can be. And considering his recent deal with Fox Searchlight, it looks like he’ll be pretty busy for the next several years.

There isn’t much information at the moment, no word on other filmmakers, or a release date, so we’ll have to wait until Netflix decides to tell us about it. We’ll keep you updated as the info is released.
